Question

Construct a triangle having two sides as 6 cm & 1 cm and a non-included angle as 60⁰. How many such triangle is possible?

Open in App
Solution

(i) Draw a line segment AB = 6 cm

(ii) Draw AC making an angle 60⁰ with AB using a protractor

(iii) Measure 1 cm on compass and draw a circle of radius 1 cm taking point B as its centre.

We observe that the circle doesn't intersect the line AC anywhere, hence we can't draw any triangle.
