Construct a triangle PQR in which PQ = 4 cm, QR = 4.5 cm and Q = 60°.

Steps of construction:

(1) Draw a sufficiently long line segment using a ruler.

(2) Locate points P and Q on it such that PQ = 4 cm.

(3) Construct a sufficiently long line segment QM at Q such that PQR = 60°.

(4) With Q as the centre and radius 4.5 cm, draw an arc cutting QM at R.

(5) Join PR.

Then, PQR is the required triangle.
