Question

Construct ABC such that B = 100° , BC = 6.4 cm, C = 50° and construct its incircle.

Open in App
Solution

Steps of construction:
1. Draw BC = 6.4 cm
2. DrawB = 100° and C = 50° using the protractor. Where the rays YB and XC meet, name the point as A.
ABC is thus obtained.
3. Construct the angle bisectors of B and C and let them meet at point O.
4. Through point O, draw a perpendicular to line BC. Let the perpendicular meet the line BC at point P.
5. With O as centre and OP as radius, draw a circle inside the ABC.
This is the required incircle.
