Construct ABC having given AB=4.8cm, BC=5.2cm, and B=40, How many triangles are possible with common base BC?

Step 1: Draw a line AB=4.8cm

Step 2: from point B draw a line BD making an angle of 40°

Step 3: With B as the center and radius 5.2cm a mark a point C

Step 4: Join AC

Here, we get the required triangle ADB and

Similarly, we can construct another triangle with the same base BC which is BCM as shown below.

Hence, two triangles are possible with a common base BC.
