Question

Construct the incircle of the triangle ABC with AB = 7 cm, B = 50, and BC = 6 cm. What will be the measurement of its inradius?

Open in App
Solution

  • Draw ABC with the given measurements.
  • Construct the angle bisectors of any two angles (A and B) and let them meet at I.
  • With I as an external point, drop a perpendicular to any one of the sides to meet at D.
  • With I as center and ID as radius, draw the circle.
Thus we obtain the required incircle.
From the above figure, the measure of the inradius 1.8 cm.
