Given: HE = 5cm, EA = 6cm, $\angle R={85}^{\circ }$

To construct: A parallelogram HEAR.

To find: $\angle H={180}^{\circ }-{85}^{\circ }={95}^{\circ }$ [Sum of adjacent angle of parallelogram is ${180}^{\circ }$]

Steps of construction:

(a) Draw a line segment HE = 5 cm. (1 mark)

(b) Construct $\angle H={95}^{\circ }$ and draw an arc of radius 6 cm with centre H. It intersects AR at R. (1.5 marks)

(c) Join RH. (0.5 mark)

(d) Draw $\angle E=\angle {85}^{\circ }$ and draw an arc of radius 6 cm with E as a centre which intersects RA at A. (1.5 marks)

(e) Join RA. (0.5 mark)

It is the required parallelogram HEAR.
