Solution

Steps of construction:
1. Draw YZ = 7.4 cm.
2. Draw ray YA, such that ZYA=45°.
3. With Y as centre and radius 2.9 cm, draw an arc, intersecting ray YA at point Q.
4. Join Q and Z.
5. Draw the perpendicular bisector of seg QZ, intersecting seg YQ(produced) at point X.
6. Join X and Z.
