  • When the Ethanol (CH3CH2OH) reacts with concentrated Sulphuric acid (H2SO4), it will produce Ethene (CH2=CH2) and Water (H2O) molecule.
  • Due to this loss of Water molecule from the Ethanol, it is known as a dehydration reaction.
