By using Dow's Process conversion of Chloro benzene to phenol is explained.
In this when chloro benzene is added to sodium hydroxide at 373 K phenol and sodium chloride is formed.
The reaction is as follows:
$C_{6} H_{5} C l + N a O H \to C_{6} H_{5} O H + N a C l$
