Solution

Converting a fraction into a decimal

Change the given fraction into an equivalent fraction with denominators 10,100,1000,...etc.

We have 90250

Multiplying the numerator and denominator by 4to make the denominator as 1000

So, 90250=90×4250×4=3601000

Now, count the number of zeroes in the denominator and put the decimal in the numerator, starting from the extreme right, and move the decimal point to the left equal to the number of zeroes.

So, 3601000=0.360

Hence, 90250=0.36.
