Open in App
Solution

Converting 2.3,4.79,0.235 into like decimals:

We know that decimals having the same number of decimal places are called like decimals.

In the given numbers, we know that 2.3 contains 1 digits after the decimal point, 4.79 contains 2 digit after the decimal point, and 0.235 contains 3 digits after the decimal point.

Since, the highest number of digits after the decimal is 3. Therefore, converting each number into the decimal number having 3 digits after decimal.

Thus, changing 2.3 as 2.300 and 4.79 as 4.790

(Since adding zeroes on the right side of the extreme right digit of the decimal part does not change the value of the number.)

Therefore, 2.300,4.790,0.235 are like decimals.
