Convert the fraction 1825 into decimals by changing the denominator to a multiple of 10 :

Conversion of fractions into decimals when the denominator is not a multiple of 10 :

  • for converting a fraction whose denominator is not a multiple of 10 , first convert the given fraction into an equivalent fraction with denominator as a multiple of 10 .
  • Then , convert the equivalent fraction into the decimal by placing the decimal point starting from the extreme right before as many digits as the number of zeros after 1 in the denominator.

The conversion of the fraction into equivalent fraction is : 1825=18×425×4=72100 .

Now , the decimal representation of the equivalent fraction is : 72100=0.72.

Thus , the decimal representation of the given fraction is 0.72 .
