One-fifth of a number minus 4 gives 3

One-fifth of the number =15×x=x5

One-fifth of a number minus 4 =x5-4

Given statement is One-fifth of a number minus 4 gives 3 as x5-4=3

Now solving the given statement, we get

x5-4=3x5=3+4x5=7x=7×5x=35

Hence, the required expression is x5-4=3 and whose solution is x=35.
