Question

Convert the temperature to the Kelvin scale: 127°C

Open in App
Solution

  • The relation between the Kelvin scale and Celsius temperature can be written as:
    T(°C)=T(K)-273
    Where,
    T= Temperature
    C= Celsius
    K= Kelvin
    Using the above formula
    T(°C)=T(K)-273
    127°C = T(K)-273
    T(K) =127+273 K
    T(K) = 400K
  • Conclusion: Hence, the temperature of 25°C on the Celsius scale is equal to 400K on the Kelvin scale.
