The chemical change is known as the changes in which the molecular composition is completely altered and a new product is being formed.
The changes in Chemical change are irreversible and permanent.
A chemical change occurs with either the release or absorption of heat, production of gas, change in some type of odor, color, or sound, etc.
Cooking food is an example of chemical change:
In a chemical change, the irreversible reaction occurs which results in either of the following changes i.e Change in temperature, color, Odour, production of gas or bubbles, and formation of precipitate upon mixing up of liquids.
In the case of cooking, mixing the dry ingredients will not result in a chemical change, but, adding a liquid within the dry ingredients and providing heat to this mixture will bring a chemical change.
In the cooking of an egg, heat provided polymerizes the proteins in the egg white, whereas the Sulfur and Hydrogen in the yolk react to form Hydrogen sulfide gas.
Baking the bread makes them rise due to the formation of Carbon dioxide bubbles due to the reaction between baking powder and liquid ingredients.
