Solution

The correct option is B

False

Zinc can produce hydrogen on reacting with acids but copper cannot. Since zinc is above hydrogen in the electrochemical series, it is more electropositive and can displace hydrogen from acids like HCl, H2SO4,HNO3.

Zn+H2SO4 (dil.) ZnSO4+H2

Whereas Cu is below hydrogen and is less electropositive than hydrogen. Therefore, It cannot displace hydrogen from acids.

Cu+H2SO4(dil.) No reaction occurs
