Solution

Graafian follicle:

  1. It is the fully matured follicle that ruptures and releases the egg cell during ovulation.

Ovulation:

  1. It is the process of releasing a mature egg from the ovary.
  2. After the release, the egg moves into the fallopian tube and stays there for about 24 hours where it can get fertilized.

Fallopian tube (Oviduct):

  1. It is the site of fertilisation that is the union of male and female gamete.
  2. This tube is responsible to pick up the ovum released by the ovary with fimbriae.
  3. Eggs pass from the ovary to the uterus through the fallopian tubes.

Implantation:

  1. A fertilized egg is also known as a zygote.
  2. In the blastocyst stage it attaches to the uterine wall (endometrium) through a process called implantation.

Final answer: The human female gonads are ovaries. A maturing egg in the ovary present in a sac of cells called Follicle. As the egg grows larger, the follicle enlarges and gets filled with a fluid and is now called as Graafian follicle. The process of releasing the egg from the ovary is called Ovulation. The ovum is picked up by oviduct finally and fertilization takes place in the Oviduct. In about a week the blastocyst gets fixed in the endometrium of the uterus and this process is called Implantation.
