In electron transport chain, ATP is produced by the oxidation and reduction reaction in the mitochondria by the transfer of an electron from one protein complex to another. The electrons are transported from NAD+ to flavoprotein and then to cytochrome Q. From Cytochrome Q electrons are transferred to Cyt b, Cyt c, Cyt a and Cyt a3.
