Solution

1: Anatomical features of plants
There are 2 broad types of tissues that make up the plant body:
● Meristematic tissues
● Permanent tissues

2: Meristematic tissues :
  • Have dividing ability.
○ Primary meristem: Help in primary growth of plants.
■ Root apical meristem: Help in root formation
■ Shoot apical meristem: Help in shoot formation
○ Secondary meristem: Help in secondary growth of plants.
■ Lateral meristem: Help increase in girth Part 3: 3.Permanent tissues
Permanent tissues: Differentiated meristematic tissues that have lost the capacity to divide and perform a specific function.
○ Simple permanent tissues: Composed of one type of tissue. ■ Parenchyma: Mostly photosynthetic functions
■ Collenchyma: Structural functions
■ Sclerenchyma: Mostly mechanical support
○ Complex permanent tissues: Composed of tissue systems.
■ Xylem: Water and mineral conduction
■ Phloem: Food transportation
