$Cr{O}_3$ is used as a cleansing agent for glassware. This is a solution of $Cr{O}_3$ in concentrated $H_{2}S{O}_4$. A premeasured mix is available under the name "Chromerge", which should be treated in the same way as aqua regia or acidic peroxide solutions because high-valent chromium is carcinogenic, teratogenic and causes severe environmental damage, the use of chromic acid is not recommended.
