The correct option is B Cry gene present in Bacillus thuringiensis
Bacillus thuringiensis bacteria form crystal (Cry) protein during the sporulation phase of growth. It kills lepidopterans, coleopterans, and dipterans by binding to their midgut epithelium cell surface and creating pores in it. It is an inactive protoxin, but once a target insect ingests the Cry protein. It gets solubilized in its alkaline midgut and activated by protease.
