Solution

The correct option is A HCl(aq)
Option (B) is correct.
Cu2+ and Ag+ are both present in the same solution. To precipitate one of the ions and leave the other in solution, add HCl(aq). Ag+ belongs to I group and get precipitated first by dil. HCl(aq) and then when the filtrate is warmed up and H2S gas is passed on it leads to the precipitation of Cu2+ ions.
