CumeneO2 H+−−−Δ hϑPhenol+Acetone
Phenol reacts with Neutral FeCl3 to produce a violet coloured complex while Acetone does not.
Phenol also discharges the red colour of Br2/H2O while Acetone fails to do so.
Acetone reacts with I2/NaOH to form a yellow precipitate of CHI3 while Phenol shows no such thing.
Hence, Option A is correct.
