Current is a scalar quantity but still a direction is associated with it. Comment on this statement.

Current is considered to be scalar quantity because:

  1. Current follows scalar laws of addition.
  2. According to the vector quantity definition, any quantity which has direction and magnitude and follows the triangle law of vector addition is considered to be a vector quantity but, the current does follow the triangle vector law of addition.
