Curved suface area of a cone is 308 cm2 and its slant height is 14 cm. Find the radius of the base and total surface area of the cone.

Given,
Curved surface area pf cone = 308 cm2
Slant height of cone (l)=14 cm

Let radius of cone be r
curved surface area of cone =πrl
πrl=308
227×r×l=308
r=308×722×14=7

Hence, radius of cone = 17 cm

T.S.A. of cone =πrl+πr2
=πr(l+r)
=227×7×(14+7)
=462

Hence, total surface area of aone is 462 cm2
