We know that,

Curved surface area of cylinder $=2\mathrm{\pi rh}$

Therefore,

$$\begin{gathered} 2\mathrm{\pi rh}=4.4 \\ 2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 0.7\times h=4.4 \\ h=\frac{4.4\times 7}{2\times 22\times 0.7} \\ h=1m \end{gathered}$$

Hence, height of the cylinder is $1m$
