Solution

Copper T is a T shaped IUD (intrauterine device) which ids placed in the uterus for preventing pregnancy. It slowly releases copper ions in the uterine cavity which suppresses sperm motility and prevents the sperms from entering cervix. It also acts as a spermicidal because copper ions damage sperms. Even if a sperm gets access to an ovum and fertilises it, pregnancy is prevented because copper ions also prevent implantation of the fertilised egg.
