Lets evaluate, the sum of $- 50, - 200$ and $300$
$(- 50) + (- 200) + 300$
$= - 50 - 200 + 300$ [ $∵ (+) \times (-) = (-)$ ]
$= - 250 + 300$ [Since, $- 50 - 200 = - 250$
$= 50$
$∴ (- 50) + (- 200) + 300 = 50$
