Solution

Concept Used: Profit%=S.P-C.PC.P×100

Step 1: Given:

S.P. = ₹ 1904
Profit percent = 12%
Step 2:

C.P. of the carpet is = 32,000
David sold his carpet for = 34,240
Profit%=S.P-C.PC.P×100=34240-3200032000×100=2240320=22432

David got Profit = 7%

Step 3:

C.P. of the carpet is = 32,000

Raja sold his carpet for = 34,880

Profit%=S.P-C.PC.P×100=34880-3200032000×100=7880320=28832

David got Profit = 9%

Step 4: Hence, profit percent for David and Raja are 7% and 9% respectively
