Solution
The correct option is C Krebs cycle Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction that removes a carboxyl group and releases carbon dioxide. Pyruvate molecules are produced during glycolysis. Each puruvate produces acetyl CoA molecule and releases carbon dioxide. Kreb's cycle produces 2 carbon dioxide molecules during decarboxylation process. The first decarboxylation results in formation of alpha-ketoglutaric acid and and other decarboxylation results in formation of succinic acid respectively.
