Okay, at first it sounds like a solid claim. Let's try thinking about any situation that can falsify it. So, Deepak's claim is by looking at someone's lip move only we can hear him speak. I wonder why we need ears then. Still let's see.

If the claim is true then there shouldn't be anyone deaf if their eyes are perfectly fine. Because if a person is having proper sight that means he can see other person standing in front and figure out what he is speaking. But I have seen deaf people who aren't blind.

If the claim is true then we could hear inside a swimming pool too. I just need to move my lips and my friend can make sense out of it.

Oh similarly we could have even heard each other in space.

If only that were true then I would have never been disturbed in my sleep by the loud sharp noise of my alarm every morning.

Well now I am sure that the claim is false but now that I have thought about its implications, I kind of want it to be true.
