From starting point a he walks $75$ m to reach pt. B

Takes a left and walks $25$ m to reach C

Takes a left and walks $40$ m to reach D

takes left and walks $25$ m to reach E

And clearly point E is at a distance $75-40$ m $=$ $35$ m from the starting point A.
