Question

DEFG is a quadrilateral with DE = 4.5 cm, EF = 6.5 cm, D = 65°, E = 100° and F = 60°.
Arrange the steps of construction in the correct order.

(a) With E as centre and radius 6.5 cm, draw an arc. Mark the point to be F.

(b) Quadrilateral DEFG is constructed.

(c) Make ∠D = 65° and E = 100° and extend the lines.

(d) Draw DE = 4.5 cm.

Solution

The correct option is A d, c, a, e, b
Step 1: Draw DE = 4.5 cm.

Step 2: Make ∠D = 65° and E = 100° and extend the lines.

Step 3: With E as centre and radius 6.5 cm, draw an arc. Mark the point to be F.

Step 4: Make F = 60° and extend the line. Mark the intersecting point of the lines to be G.

Step 5: Quadrilateral DEFG is constructed.
