Physical Change

A physical change does not result in the formation of new material. Melting, freezing, vaporization, condensation, and sublimation are examples of physical changes in state or phase.

  • It's a reversible procedure.
  • It makes temporary adjustments.
    Examples of physical changes include
  • crushing a can,
  • melting an ice cube,
  • breaking a bottle

Chemical Change

A change in which one or more new substances are formed is called a chemical change. It is an irreversible process. It makes long-term alterations. This, in turn, causes the production of new substance(s).

Examples of Chemical Changes include

  • Rusting of Iron
  • Souring of Milk
  • Ripening of Fruits
  • Digestion of Food
  • Bursting of Cracker
