Define a physical change and a chemical change. Give two examples of each.
Physical Change
A physical change does not result in the formation of new material. Melting, freezing, vaporization, condensation, and sublimation are examples of physical changes in state or phase.
Chemical Change
A change in which one or more new substances are formed is called a chemical change. It is an irreversible process. It makes long-term alterations. This, in turn, causes the production of new substance(s).
