Define absolute temperature.

Open in App
Solution

Absolute temperature is the zero temperature measured on the Kelvin scale. At absolute zero temperature, the motion of the gas particles is stopped. This means there is no motion between the particles of the gas. The volume of the gas is also zero at absolute temperature. Absolute temperature is measured in kelvins (K) by the formulae:

T(K)=T(°C)+273
