Allergies are the reactions or the response given to the antigens which are in the form of particles. Allergy is also termed as hypersensitivity. The substances which can cause allergies are called as allergens. Generally, allergy is caused due to the pollens, dust, hay, etc. IgE antibodies are produced during allergic reactions. Histamine is released by certain cells which causes reddening and inflammation during allergies. A common example of allergy is asthma.
