Cochlea:

  1. Cochlea is the coiled part of the labyrinth present in the inner ear.
  2. Receptors that enable to sense the sounds are present in the cochlea, which helps in converting the auditory signals to neural signal, which are then further carried by the sensory neurons and auditory nerves to the brain, where it is combined enabling us to hear the sound.
