Cumulative frequency: In a discrete frequency distribution the cumulative frequency of particular value of the variable is the total of all the frequencies of the value of the variable which are less than or equal to the particular value.

Cumulative frequency is used to determine the number of observations that lie above (or below) a particular value in a data set.
