Open in App
Solution

Cytoplasm can be defined as the fluid that fills the cells and comprises of cytosol and the cellular organelles. The cytoskeleton protein filaments, ions, macromolecules and water make up the cytosol. In the cytosol, the organelles are present. Cytosol and the organelles together are referred to as cytoplasm. The description of cytoplasm does not include the nucleoplasm contained in the nucleus. For that, the term protoplasm is used. So, protoplasm is cytoplasm and the nucleus.
