Deposition – The process of conversion of a substance from the gaseous state directly into the solid state without the formation of an intermediate liquid state is called deposition.

• It is the opposite process of sublimation.
• The substances that undergo sublimation when cooled get deposited as solids.

For example - Frost is the deposited form of water vapor.
