The pressure is exerted on the walls of the arteries when the heart muscles relax in between two beats.

Normal Range: In adults, it is 60-80 mmHg.

Ventricles of the Heart: Ventricles are relaxed during diastole.

Blood vessels: Relaxed in this state.
