Diploblastic animals:

  1. There are three embryonic layers present in animals namely ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm.
  2. In some animals, cells are arranged in two embryonic layers, i.e., ectoderm and endoderm and these animals are called diploblastic animals.
  3. In diploblastic animals, mesderm is absent.
  4. Animals included in phylum Cnidaria and Ctenophora are diploblastic animals.
