Solution

  • <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> Distillation is a separation process which can be used to separate the components of a solution, where at least one component is a liquid.
  • In this process, the mixture is heated until the liquid converts to its vapour state by the process of evaporation, leaving the other component(s) back. After this, the vapour is cooled to get back the liquid by condensation.
  • Distillation is a separation process that can be used to separate the solid-liquid mixtures and liquid-liquid mixtures.
Distilled water has wide uses in different areas as follows

1. Medical use: Due to the fact that distilled water is exceptionally pure, it is commonly used in medical facilities, medical procedures, and also in sterilizing medical equipment etc.
2. Lab experiments: Usage of distilled water for laboratory experiments assures the accuracy of the results because it is the pure form of water.
3. Batteries: Using distilled water in the batteries increases the efficiency of batteries.
