An alloy is a mixture of different metallic elements in specific proportions especially to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion.
It is a homogeneous mixture of elements.
To make stainless steel, iron is fused with nickel, chromium, or carbon in a process known as alloy formation. By this an alloy stainless steel is formed.
