Electrometallurgy : The process of extraction of highly reactive metal by electrolysis of their molten or aqueous ores is called electrometallurgy.
During the electrolysis of molten or aqueous salts, the metals are always extracted at cathode (negative electrode).
For example : Sodium, potassium, aluminium, calcium etc.
