Element - It is a pure substance made up of atoms of the same kind and cannot be separated by any chemical method.

They are of the following types -

1. Metals
2. Non-metals
3. Metalloids
4. Noble gases

Important points about elements -

1. They exhibit the same physical and chemical properties throughout the sample.
2. Elements further react chemically to form compounds and molecules.

For example - Hydrogen(H), Helium(He), and Carbon(C).
