Solution

Endothermic reactions are those in which heat is being taken up from the surroundings to complete the reaction.

Examples of endothermic reactions are:

  • Photosynthesis is an example of an endothermic reaction

6CO2+6H2O+sunlightC6H12O6+6O2

Photosynthesis is an endothermic reaction. It can not be completed without sunlight. This light energy from the sun is absorbed by a green pigment called chlorophyll in the leaves.

  • Formation of nitric oxide

N2(g)+O2(g)2NO(g)(nitrogen)(oxygen)(nitricoxide)

Here nitrogen and oxygen will combine together in the presence of heat to form nitric oxide
