There are different factors affecting the movement of air'
Temperature: the air moves from an area with high temperature to an area with low temperature. On earth, the equatorial regions low pressure due to high temperature than in the polar regions.
Pressure: movement of air takes place from an area with high pressure to an area with low pressure. Pressure is also created on the land depending bon the area's height from sea level. Air pressure decreases as we move upper from the sea level. Moisture in the atmosphere is due to the evaporation of water molecules, it keeps changing which in turn alters the air pressure and hence altering the air movement.
Coriolis movement: This is the movement of air caused by the rotation of and movement of earth. Earth's gravitation also affects the air movement, the regions which are closer to the earth's core like polar regions have high pressure as compared to the equatorial region.
Friction: friction is caused by the earth's surface and the air moves slowly where there is a more friction.
