  1. Gases do not have fixed shape and volume.
  2. Intermolecular force of attraction between the molecules of a gas is almost negligible.
  3. The molecules of gases are in random motion due to negligible force of attraction.
  4. They do not have a fixed position and are in translatory motion.
  5. Due to this they are compressible.
  6. Few examples of gases are Methane, Carbon dioxide (CO2).
