Open in App
Solution

Gay-Lussac’s law of combining volumes of gases: Whenever gases react, they do so in volumes which bears a simple ratio to one another and to the volumes of the gaseous products provided all the volumes are measured under the same conditions of temperature and pressure.

N2 + 3H2 2NH3

1 volume 3 volume 2 volume

N2(gas):H2(g) :NH3(g) = 1:3:2 which is a simple ratio.
